Teenager, 16, arrested following reports of disorder involving weapons on Birmingham bus

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with disorder on a bus in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy after they received reports of a group fighting with weapons in Bristol Road South, Northfield, Birmingham, at around 1pm on Wednesday.

Following a number of enquiries around the area, offices from the local neighbourhood team detained a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of affray earlier today.

The boy is currently held in custody for questioning.

West Midlands Police are now appealing for information relating to the incident, asking anyone with information to contact them directly. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're continuing to ask for information to establish exactly what happened, and to help us identify those involved.

"If you can help with our investigation, contact us via 101 quoting log 2629 of 25 June."
